2007 Coche Dury
Meursault
Jean-Francois Coche-Dury! Described as “One of the greatest winemakers on planet earth”- Robert Parker. If you haven’t heard of this man and his astonishing wines from Burgundy then you are missing the essence of what Burgundy wines are all about, and we here at Bin 905 have just received a limited amount of his 2007 Meursault! Taking over the winery from his father Georges Coche the family estate consists of 9 hectares of vineyards in the Cote D’or. Including Corton Charlemagne, Mersault Perrières, Caillerets, Narvaux and many more especially reds from Pommard and a 1er Cru Volnay which he sells a quarter of his crop to other estates such as Maison Louis Latour and Louis Jadot. Having Coch-Dury’s wines are an experience of their own and trying the 2007 is distinctively mind blowing, exhibiting creamy mineral notes that balance perfectly with the citric, chalky and floral fruit flavours that will continue to diversify in the years that this wine can be followed.
