Having spent time working in both The Big Smoke and Vancouver Jenny finally came to her senses and moved East of The Rockies (without getting too close to Saskatchewan). When she did arrive she landed at Bin905 where her knowledge and passion make her the perfect fit. She has recently been accepted into the MW program and is now working her way towards becoming a Master of Wine. When Jenny is not at BIN 905 she's busy teaching WSET classes to all levels in Calgary.
An avid world traveler and self-professed professional student Liam has been to Asia, Australia and Europe and studied everything from computer engineering to art school to wine. Liam spent some time honing his craft and wine knowledge in some of Calgary's premeir dinning spots before making the move to Bin905. As one of the seasoned vets here at Bin905 almost all of our customers will have gotten a great recomendation or two from Liam and had him open up there horizons and palates to something new and delicious. Born and raised in Calgary Liam loves the Rockies and tries to get out there as often as possible. He also loves to cook and says no great meal is complete without a great glass of wine and some good people to go with it.
A little while ago, Luis decided to leave his Mexican homeland and embrace the Canadian winter to enroll in SAIT's Culinary Program. After graduating, he started working for Rouge in Inglewood, where he was employed for six years, working his way up to Executive Sous-Chef. It was here where he fell in love with wine and decided to leave everything behind and move to France to complete the Sommelier Certificate at France's Universite du Vin. He then spent five months visiting every wine region in the country, covering over 15,000 kms, and countless wineries. This makes for some great stories! After moving back Luis decided to embrace his new passion. Luckily for us, he's writing a new chapter here at BIN 905.
Our loveable warehouse companion Yoshi - a pure Canadian mongrel - likes to spend most of his time lounging around, watching us eat with big brown puppydog eyes and then scouring the floor and chairs for any food that may have been unkonwingly dropped. He's very friendly and isn't shy about giving visitors a good sniff. While he likes to hang around while we're tasting one sight of a Champagne bottle sends him scurrying under Geoff's desk, I guess he doesn't like the POP (we do though).
